Katarina Witt was born the third of December 1965 in Staaken, East Germany. In her search for new challenges she continually opens the doors to new opportunities for herself and gathers experience in various fields in the fields of figure skating, production performing, presenting, acting, and writing. Katarina Witt ended her amateur career after 1988 World Championships. In the next three years she'll co-headlining North America and Canada the first of her professional shows together with Brian Boitano, the Calgary Olympic Champion as well as the Calgary Olympic Champion World Champion. The event "Witt and Boitano Skating" is so well-loved that Madison Square Garden in New York has sold out for an ice skating performance for the first time in ten years. The three-time Olympic Games appearance in Lillehammer was held in the year 1994. In the past 10 years, she traveled the US and Canada with the shows "Stars on Ice", "Champions on Ice", and participated in numerous professional events around the world. She is the creative mind behind many of the international shows on ice that she designs, develops, headlines and produces with her own production firm, WITT. This is a business that sets the standard in skating, making shows such as "Divas on Ice", "Katarina & Friends", Enjoy the Stars", and Winter Magic for US and German TV.
