Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded several prizes and grants. She has provided advice on policy and research to numerous agencies and government departments around the globe. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
